They’re only putting on the backburner while Donny tries to convince the country that he’s not a loser (HA!), Rudy tries avoid jail time (HAHA!), and the wingnut media tries to find a middle ground between reality and total fantasy to keep the MAGAts happy (HAHAHA!).

Not to worry, come January and the lead-up to the inauguration, they’ll be back to demanding that Congressional Repubs demand any investigation into Hunter’s “crimes” and suggest aloud that they might be impeachable (*eyeroll*).

As Cornyn is showing above, they are going to move on to declaring every Biden nominee a criminal.
