It’s the same thing they’ve been trying in the lower federal courts and the state courts from the start - similar to an injunction. Yes, you can ask them for it; basically going, “Shitshitshit, if we don’t get this before the Court right now, X, Y, and Z will happen.” If the Court decides that you’re right and also that you’re likely to win the case, they’ll grant the writ and hear your case.

So, in theory, if the conservative nitwits on SCOTUS wanted to fuck with the election, now’s their chance?

I just read through some of the comments on the Tweet I quoted. It seems a lot of this hinges on whether the SCOTUS wants to tell PA how to interpret their own constitution, which is generally a no-no for the supposed states’ rights party the conservative supposedly belong to.

Ugh, This shit never ends. This is what’s starting to get to me. In 2016, the common wisdom was that Trump didn’t have a chance, but enough racists and stupid people managed to thread that loop for him.

Now? He keeps losing court case after court case, but the needle threading now is getting the SCOTUS, and the mouth breathers he appointed, to jump start his coup.

Just “ugh”.
