Despite M. Moore being a blowhard, he made this point very well in Bowling for Columbine.

And then he promptly ruined his own film by making himself a part of the story and pulling stupid stunts (Lockheed Martin, Dick Clark, etc.).

If he’d stuck to the whole thesis about fear instead of guns being the problem, it would have been a much better film.
