Really? Kershaw’s Hitler biography says it was a huge seller and translated at that time into sixteen languages. I can see why people would be bored with it though. I had to read excerpts from it for German history. I also find Marx a bore to read.

Shirer said he went by the Publisher’s records of prints and sales. Very few were sold until Hitler became chancellor.

Strange tho, that after the Checkoslovakia was taken, the military of the Allied powers didn’t tear it apart with a fine tooth comb and use it arguing with the powers-that-be.
