After all the crap the United Kingdom went through in World War II, it seems strange to me that some people there would support the ideology that so savagely attacked their country and killed their fellow citizens.

The National Front was very strong in the UK before the war. It is now being repackaged under the guise of nationalism, and we saw how widespread those sentiments are with the Brexit vote.
