This is the sort of leniency that has to end. If a trigger of a gun is deliberately pulled, that is a premeditated act. If someone dies as a result of that trigger pull, the starting point should be murder 1, with self-defense (real, not Rittenhouse bullshit) being the only affirmative defense.
