I’m amazed at how blatantly inconsistent some of these libertarian heroes are.

Ron Paul, for example, likes to spend taxpayer money supporting the private church known as the “Boy Scouts of America”. For example, most recently he voted yes on H.R. 5872 [Link: www.govtrack.us…] How the heck can a libertarian support this?

(IMHO, the Boy Scouts of America is pure evil. Not because of their membership policies—I defend the right of private groups to control their membership—but because they hide behind the cloak of “we’re a private group” when it’s convenient, but don’t hesitate to take taxpayer money and perqs. They even use taxpayer funded military bases to conduct their annual meetings and conduct bizarre rituals where they electrocute people in front of kids: [Link: www.washingtonpost.com…]

Do you want to judge the entire Boy Scout organization, membership and history because of some bad actors?

Are you sure you want to tar and feather a group that has contributed mightily to the character of this nation? Are you sure you want to go there? Think about it.
