Honestly if the GOP had any brains they’d be trying to steal an issue or two from the Dems. If they were smart, they’d take the limited government mantra literally and start embracing things like gay marriage, seperation of church and state, and lessening the drug war but nope they remain cultural warriors and it’s because they have people like Jim DeMint in their party who are kingmakers who think you have to be a social reactionary in order to be fiscally conservative which is nonsense.

They are not trying to to be anything. They are trying to prepare us for the 2nd Coming. I guess they think they’ll earn extra badges for it.
