And it comes down to voters actually believing that the GOP has any sort of economic plan. I don’t think the bad economy will hurt Obama as much as it’s hurt other incumbents in the past, because the GOP has been so blatant, so obvious in their obstructionism and their complete lack of desire to help the country improve while Obama is president.

I do think people are tired of politics-by-hostage-taking in the way the GOP is doing. On the other hand, the GOP still is hostage-taking, so people may vote for them to pay the ransom, as it were. Long-term, a bad choice, but I can understand if people do it.
