If you want to purchase low cost prescriptions, take a look at Mexico. Every major border crossing has numerous pharmacies within walking distance on the Mexico side. The savings on drug prices is significant. For example, Albutrol inhalers which cost about $10 each in the US are available in packages of 3 for $3.99 (US). Another example is the antibiotic Z Pac. In the US a treatment (total of 6 pills) runs anywhere between $60 to $80 while in Mexico it’s $4.99 (US).

Thousands of US and Canadians cross every day to lower their prescription expenses. Many of the drugs, like the two I mentioned, do not require a prescription. Technically a US citizen is only allowed to bring a 90 day supply back to the States but the Border Patrol kinda’ looks the other way when you cross.

Mexico is just as tough safety wise on drug manufactures as is the US and Canada. The Mexican drug stores carry 100’s of different medications. The only type of drugs that are not available are the Type 1 narcotics.

When I made a “drug run” I usually saved several hundred dollars.
