I’ve owned two HDs in my life and would never buy another one again. They are beautiful, but they are overpriced “works of art” on 2 wheels.

Triumph has several machines (Bonneville and the like) that trade on their historical image. But unlike HD they also make machines (Daytona, Speed Triple, Etc) that are modern sport bikes and in competition with the rest of the market. Finally their prices, while impacted by the dollar/euro/pound differential are still sane.

I could imagine dropping $10k for a new Triumph. No way for $50k for a HD.
