We have lost our societal peer pressure for ethical behavior. Which is a big damn loss. One easy example-Divorce and consenting adults laws have lowered the pressure to keep marital promises, as in don’t cheat on your spouse. Don’t break that promise. But that ethic has fallen from fashion. A shame.

Every generation has thought that morals have gone to hell since ‘the before times’. This generation is no different.

The problem I have with them is still the same. Even if you’re absolutely right that we need ethical renewal (for lack of a better term), that bill was still cynical posturing.
