Well, it’s all pretty clear:

“catfish” == “cat” + “fish”

Then, the “fish” part left the “catfish” and all that was left was the “cat”.

How much easier could it be?

Well, that explains bullfrogs. Woodpeckers are still a puzzlement, though.
