OT, but this is worth reading. CNN’s Wayne Drash profiles an Iowa farmer who got hosed in the fall of MF Global. Very much a “Main Street vs. Wall Street” story, but it is well written and actually names Jon Corzine as a Democrat. It’s fierce but not a hit piece.

Let me ask this quite carefully and honestly. When you read that, do you begin to understand why there are those of us out here who distrust the whole capitalist system? And that we can do it without hating those who do believe in it?

Why are we still allowing this to happen on a daily basis?

Yeah, Corzine is evil. Lots of other “Democrats” that I can call that too. Even more Republicans. So? No need to MBF this though, because it has less to do with the teams than it does with the system.

How do we get a system that allows individual growth while still protecting the whole of society? That’s the question we’re trying to answer DF.
