A commenter at RedState provides today’s dose of irony so massive it will destabilize the Local Galaxy Cluster:

I have to ask for a Democrat when does it become more important to destroy your political opposition than preserving the system that makes it all possible?

I ask because I always point this out. This is a conservative site, but we are adherents to a zombie of a political philosophy. Our entire philosophy revolved around rules and process a modicum of balance and refs that interpreted, the rules evenly. Once the left decided to flip over the table because they weren’t able to make their case, we became obsolete. What comes after us, is looking very nasty indeed.

Of course it is the US right that is wrecking everything because it has no rational case.
