We should hand out copies of Battle Cry of Freedom to everyone complaining about removing these statues.

I’ve been contending that those who cry about the removal of CSA statues would have no problem if the people of Cuba removed Castro era statues and memorials in Cuba. They certainly did not object when Saddam’s statue fell in Baghdad. I don’t favor destroying these monuments. I feel they belong at a museum because what happened after the Civil War and how it was memorialized is almost as important as the Civli War itself.
