Oh yeah, no doubt they marketed themselves well but music wise? Meh. Gene also thinks because he’s made millions, he’s one of the best ever. Plenty of more talented musicians who died paupers.

Yes, he caught a lot of criticism and in the end, I came to realize that it was unnecessary and unwarranted. He was successful at what he did and at selling his product.

I had no use for it personally, so I just followed what I liked and refrained from knocking him for doing what he did or his fans for liking what they liked.
