there is a group of GOP who are aware that the party needs to remain viable outside and after Donald Trump.The ones who see what sort of deal they struck with the Devil to win an election and what it might cost them in the long run.

I think Mitt might even have a bit of an effect over Mitch. In a way he could steal some of Mitch’s power and paint Mitch as ineffective to the party to help that process along.
