Populism is untrustworthy, but the Democrats need to find a way to deal with issues of jobs and economic stagnation. “Business mostly as usual” while only the Davos set seems to be doing well isn’t going to cut it.

The sticking point is that the Democrats are going to have to make an ask of their donor class, and plutocrats don’t like that.

I think there needs to be something in between populism and the business as usual. I’m more with the populists on the idea that wealth disparity is a serious problem in the country but I’m more supportive of trade than they are too.
