A favorite pleasure drive route takes me past a veal farm where most of the operations were set up near the road. Once I figured out what was happening, I decided I could live without veal.

I gave up eating red meat in 1994. The thought of elephant or mammoth seems so wrong — such majestic creatures should be protected not killed and eaten. We humans are so bad at sharing our planet with others.
