There’s also two separate issues: persons and positions.
A hater can make racist statements about Tubman or Marshall that are personally racist— racist with regard to them personally (grounded in their race)
A different hater (and racist) technique is to describe their positions as ‘radical’ (in the pejorative sense) and that is still a racist statement about the positions: racist because it describes being against Jim Crow and for Brown v Board of Ed, and being against slavery, as ‘radical’ (again, in the pejorative or condemnatory sense of radical).

The second kind of statement would still be a racist one even if Tubman and Marshall had been white.
