That isn’t really true, and to be honest I don’t favor laws that give a woman who kills her child probation, even if her mind was badly effected by the birth. If she suffered from postpartum psychosis, then I’d accept an insanity defense, but otherwise I really would favor a prison sentence.

Hormones are the strongest drugs our body produces. Science cannot regulate a women’s hormones during or just after pregnancy. Luckily there has more attention to the issue.
