Did anyone else see how NBC ran an interview with the darling American gymnastics gold medalist Gabby Douglas, and then cut right to a promo commercial for the new NBC sitcom about veterinarians and there was a monkey doing gymnastics in the commercial… I mean, really? The first African American to win the gold medal in the ladies gymnastics all-around and they follow up her interview with a monkey doing gymnastics? Jeebus. was that someone’s idea of a joke to place that one commercial then? OK so it was a male monkey.. Is that their story?

I doubt it was intentional, and I’m proud of Ms. Douglas and her representation of this country.

(Also, she’s photogenic, which as Sarah Robles could point out, is going to be a big plus for her in getting endorsements.)
