But speaking of Collins’ plea, anybody else notice that all that Repub bravado about how impeachment would be a fatal mistake for the Dems and would just ensure Trump’s reelection are suddenly very reluctant to take any votes unless we drag all this another few months?

I won’t discount the possibility that they think there’s some sort of political strategy to keeping all this going well into next year, but you’d think if impeachment was such a killer to the Dem’s hopes for November, that the Repubs would be champing at the bit to get this all over with so they can spend as much time as possible reminding the country that the Dems impeached Trump.
