The media is how Trump came to be anything but a mediocre real estate developer. He knew how to play the media, and like any good con man, he got them to believe the baffling bulkshit.

Now, in the WH, they’re still believing the bulkshit.

The book doesn’t tell us anything that we haven’t already known or surmised all along. He’s a creepy misogynistic bigot who has lied, cheated, and crimed his way to the WH.

I’ve always seen him as everything the rest of the country thinks they hate about New Yorkers. He’s loud, obnoxious, thinks his shit doesn’t shink, etc. That’s why it was so funny to see the GOP base with all their contempt for NYC embrace him. But in a lot of ways it was a match made in paradise because the GOP base is loud, obnoxious, and thinks their shit doesn’t stink.
