I cannot possibly be the first to see the enormous problem with the whole “the GOP can make Trump the Speaker of the House when back in majority!” thing.

It’s a VERY difficult job that arguably requires more detail orientation and interpersonal skills than being POTUS. Trump proved over 4 years he utterly lacks both qualities.

Besides, if McCarthy (or Jordan!) is in the position Trump will already be in control. Why would he get into the weeds of vote counting when he can pull the strings on a flunky to do it for him?
