Of course, the reason why they want to dismiss 1/6 is because the people who were bashing in doors, smearing shit on the walls, and (oh yeah) trying to assassinate elected officials look too similar to themselves for comfort. They want to put the face of a drugged out loser or beered-up redneck assholes on the movement because that allows them to continue telling themselves that their well-dressed neighbor screaming about “STOLEN ELECTIONS!!!” is a good guy who’s just “misinformed.”

Those who want to dismiss 1/6 have bought into Stolen Elections and have persuaded themselves that the only bad thing that happened that day was the death of their martyr Ashli Babbitt; these were unarmed peaceful protestors. And these same collaborators continue to believe that the only reason the pandemic isn’t over is the failure to prescribe hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin; in any case, Fauci and Biden are fearmongering over a disease that is no longer dangerous at all.
