There was a time before the Internet where folks with these kinds of conspiracies and craziness would be found muttering on the corner of a subway platform or trying to write paper pamphlets to pass out on street corners. Now, anyone and everyone can get an audience - and the more extreme your view - the wider your potential audience because it has the ability to rise above the background noise.
