Arizona was territory claimed by the CSA during the Civil War. It was called Confederate Arizona.

Slavery was legal in New Mexico Territory (of which Arizona was part until 1863), but there were only about a dozen slaves. Confederate Arizona encompassed what is now the State of Arizona as well as the southern part of present day New Mexico.
