Ohio has always been a big corn grower. I remember going to county fairs with my parents and seeing all kinds of different types of corn and some of the colors, etc. in the agriculture displays. Corn is an amazing plant.

Oh August was CORN TIME back home. Dad would pick up a couple dozen ears for ourselves and our neighbors. And a couple times in summer, dinner would just be corn on the cob with butter and Lawry’s salt or Old Bay seasoning. Good times. Of course, buying the corn from the farm you’d every once in a while find a little critter as you shucked it…
