Thing that Fox and other RW media outlets do brilliantly is convince their viewers or listeners in the case of radio that the media outlet is somehow fighting for the underdog against a bully usually (big government, a special interest group like labor or a religious or cultural minority). It’s how even though there have been hundreds of cookie cutter talk show hosts in the same mold of Rush Limbaugh that shows like that continue to thrive because alot of people really do believe that the big mouth is somehow standing up for “you” against the bad guys even though they really could give two shits about their fans.
