Three. One on each floor of the house. We’re all about the kitty comfort around here. :)

I’m sure it avoids conflicts if there’s more than one cat. I prefer to have two around, but my current cat was screwed up by another of my cats to the point where she hates other cats, so now she’ll be my only cat for some time to come.
