THIS right here is why although I wish Rep. Scalise a speedy recovery, I cannot find it within myself to forget how many GOPers in Congress have had little/no sympathy for others who have died after some person opened fire on them in public spaces. I just can’t feel sorry for the terror they experienced yesterday. I hate it happened, but I also feel they’ve played an integral role in what happened to them at that baseball field.

Agree. I was trying to find a smidgen of sympathy yesterday but failed for this very reason.
