The balance of power in East Asia has perhaps permanently been upended, with the only clear winners being North Korea and its handler, China. South Korea and Japan are being stiffed, and in the long run, the USA will have next to no influence in the region. Trump has handed China the keys to the realm.
He’s going to be raked over the coals for this charade.
I can see China working with South Korea to turn North Korea into a new development project, sort of what China was two decades ago. And the US will see nothing out of it but more consumer goods that our people can stock and sell at Wal-Mart for sub-poverty-level wages subsidized by SNAP payments.
