It almost seems like Mueller is dangling that carrot in front of Trump asking him to: “go on take a bite of pardoning Manafort. Come on you know you want to.”

And all of Trumps lawyers and handlers are like: “no, no, no…it’s a trick…the carrot is really dynamite and you are gonna blow yourself and your presidency up if you take a bite.”

What’s worse for Donny right now, what’s going to keep his lawyers up at night going forward, is one question: “How long has Mueller known?” Best case scenario, this is something he just found out and there’s little chance that he knows more than Manafort’s continued lying.

But if he knew for a length of time, and was feeding bullshit to Manafort that has now turned up in Donny’s open-book test? Or caught an offer being floated to Manafort of a pardon in exchange for continuing to stymie Mueller’s efforts? Yeah, any hope Dershowitz and other defenders had that Mueller’s final report would include no criminal findings goes down the toilet.
