I wonder if Pence is involved somehow. Remember Trump wanted Christie, Manafort insisted on Pence and the kids too.

I wonder if they chose Pence because he is too full of himself, happy to have gotten the job, and too dumb to know what it actually going on. And they could count on his loyalty as long as Donny faked being Christian enough.
