Yeah, I learned about the “Triangular Trade” in grade school in NJ. Probably a bit of Woodrow Wilson’s rampant racism that he put into the public school curriculum there and stuck around for decades.

We were taught the Triangle trade and that the one leg was only human slaves for the Caribbean and the US South.

They also taught us about USS Constitution’s last victory- she took the US sailing ship H.N.Gambrill for being a slave trader on 3 November 1854 off the coast of Angola.
