I got the impression that limbaugh (whom I heard during the 1st half of his show say that it was all probably a hoax) was sarcastically rubbing salt in the wound of the ‘fake but accurate’ crowd with an “if its good for the goose, its good for the gander” He did repeatedly play the Obama speech with the redistribution of wealth meme whenever he said “I know that’s how Obama thinks because he has said so”

I can’t think of anyone who has gotten more mileage out of ‘fake but accurate’ than Rush.
