My solution is to make the effort. Instead, now we’ve got headlines that read “Obama bows to Boehner,” with said Speaker being quoted as being “glad” that the White House was willing to work with them. And, then to compound it, we’ll see the angry responses on Sept 9th to Obama’s speech preempting the start of the NFL season. Or a page A14 blurb that the speech happened, because nobody tuned into the channels it was actually on.
