ISTR that the Brits were the first to use concentration camps during the Boer War.

The Boers were successfully using guerrilla tactics at will against the Brits.

So the British rounded up the Boer women & children into concentration camps and literally let them starve until the Boers fighting the Brits surrendered.

The same tactics were used in Kenya during the Mau Mau rebellion.

Yeah I think you’re right about that regarding the Brits and concentration camps during the Boer War. It built up generations of anti-British hostility among Afrikaners. Sadly, the lesson wasn’t really learned on many of them.
