The newspaper King publishes in Cleveland was the prop Trump used in the WP interview to “prove” he isn’t a racist. It backfired when King told the NYDN that he hadn’t endorsed Trump. That he took the newspaper and used it in an interview with a WP reporter informs me that Trump is an entertainer who thinks he’s competing in a reality TV show. It’s been my experience that if one isn’t racist, one doesn’t make racist comments. I’m not understanding Trump’s defenders who are saying he’s not racist. Ben Carson said that Trump was “speaking out loud,” which says to me that in spite of his claim to be a great Christian, Carson’s Christianity doesn’t extend to telling the truth if he’s willing to deny what we all heard. Carson’s comment reminds me of Romney saying that some things should only be discussed in “quiet rooms.” In other words, Carson is rubber-stamping Trump’s racist attitudes toward his fellow citizens as long as Trump doesn’t express them in public. Cowards, all of them are cowards.
