Nope, never seen it, just getting fed up up with the reports of attacks on Muslim women and letting my brain wander down some rather dark paths.

That story with drunk guy with the lighter? Reminded me of a Nuyorican woman I met not too long after I first arrived up here. She’d done time in prison and wasn’t to be trifled with, but people see the hijab and make all sorts of assumptions, y’know? Anyway, not too long after 9/11 she was putting gas in her car and a man approached her holding his gas nozzle and threatening to douse her with it and set her on fire.

Her response? She dropped everything, threw herself at him, and wrapped her arms around him in a huge bear hug telling him to go ahead and do it, but know that he’d be coming with her if she did. He beat a fast path the hell outta there. Screaming at her that she was crazy. LOL.
