That really would have been the smartest thing, leaving well enough alone by letting his resignation letter speak for itself. But no, Milo is a gloryhound and he couldn’t let himself just slink away into the night. So he had to make a production of it, in a way that’s only going to further the perception that he’s in it only for himself.

I really think he’s done with the American right. Maybe he makes a comeback with the fringe somewhere but his star is gone just like that.
