Think back to the reasons you got on facebook or twitter. Do they even exist anymore? Facebook allowed me to connect to some people that I had lost touch with, and see my relatives and children from afar. After that, it’s a sewer. Far too many people not who I thought them to be. Twitter I got on and just watched for years before I jumped. Still not sure it was worth the aggravation.
I’ve been waiting for something to go up against ebay. Still waiting.
As others have noted here, I am a Luddite, as I never saw a need to get on Twitter and Facebook.
Considering how much complaining others do about the Dumpster fire that they are, I am surprised they stay.
Is it really worth staying on those platforms to “stay in touch with family” when we have ancient Luddite technologies like telephone service? Letters? E-mail?
I guess I just don’t understand the attraction. I don’t mind poking around Twitter looking for humorous tweets, but doing things like “curating” a Facebook page or Twitter timeline take time I don’t wish to expend.
I certainly don’t need a pile-on of a bunch of Nazis suddenly overtaking my pages if I had them.
