It won’t solve everything talked about, but it’s a start. And I know there’s a lot of atheists here, but the answer to “What about the illegals?” is “The Bible says take care of everyone in your country because you were once immigrants too.”

what about the illegals?
arent they people?
dont they deserve justice and equity depending on who they are how they got here and what their individual circumstances are?
does all mean all or only some?

and that’s the point - it’s a three tiered approach

the motto / the message of the party is clean and simple and all encompassing- that’s what the dem leadership should be shouting every single day. we are for freedom and equal treatment for everybody

when the discussion goes to the next level, the explanations are also simple
liberty means..
justice means…
for all means…

*then* you get into specifics…where it’s ok to have disagreements on *how* but not the fundamentals -

sometimes the government is the solution sometimes it isnt
everyone is treated proportionally and equitably
and everyone means *everyone*

otherwise someone really didnt accept “liberty and justice for all” in the first place
