When they elect me dictator, the first thing I’m going to do is stop this stock market bullshit where you can bet a company’s stock will go down and make money when it does. That’s not how it’s supposed to work, and it’s caused a lot of our current economic problems.

It is good to have the ability to “bet” that the stock will go down as it balances out the positive and negative of stock market moves. It helps give some stability to the markets and is a good indicator of what may happen in the future. Should there be regulations in how that bet is done and the volume of it - sure - but to out right remove it I think would be a bad idea.
