In Utah, not only is “church” considered a qualification for office, but “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints” (aka “The Church”) is considered the only church. Except in actual Salt Lake City and Ogden and Price, Utah, where there are Democrats.

Saw a stat recently that Salt Lake County is no longer majority LDS. Times are changing, even there. I have a good friend in Park City who’s increasingly optimistic about the direction the state is going in.
