Folding would also imply admitting defeat and we know he can’t/isn’t doing that. .
Not to get too technical and poker nerdy; but there’s generally two reasons to fold:
1. you have a relatively weak hand and believe your opponent(s) has a relatively better hand
2. you have a draw but are not getting the right odds to call (the odds of making your draw vs the amount you have to call in relation to the pot)
