If you took a time machine back to 1921 and asked an American what life would be like in 2021 you’d get some wild guesses, for sure.

Some may think that a Metropolis like future was a sure thing.

But, no one would have guessed:
1) nuclear weapons;
2) Bitcoin;
3) Donny and Marie Osmond being nostalgia figures.

Point being: the future is hard to predict.

On a related note, imagine going back to 1961 and telling the first person you meet that in 2021:

1. Russia is preparing a military attack
2. Gays and Lesbians are fighting for their rights each and every day.
3. Christian conservatives are trying to keep women barefoot and pregnant.
4. They’re also trying to ban books and music they don’t like.
5. Chrysler, Ford and GM still make gasoline vehicles (i.e. no flying cars).
6. Jewish people are constantly being discriminated against.
7. Southern leaders are trying to make sure blacks can’t vote.
