Personally, I think it would do quite well to remind the Russians that Ukraine is not their vassal state, their colony, or anything else; it is a free, independent and sovereign nation, and the future that the Ukrainian people decide for themselves is their decision to make, not Moscow’s.

Or anyone else’s, for that matter.

We’ll find out after the closing ceremonies in Sochi, won’t we? Pooty had no such qualms about Georgia.
